The Florida International University (FIU) diving team concluded its participation at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships on March 10 at Gabrielsen Natatorium, hosted by the University of Georgia.
The event featured three FIU divers—Adyson Downey, Kristina Keenan, and Ruska Lehtonen—competing over three days. The team’s strongest results came in the platform competition, where Keenan finished 13th overall with a score of 465.70 and Lehtonen placed 16th with a score of 430.55. Freshman Downey made her debut in the Zone B meet, finishing 22nd in the platform event with a score of 197.25.
Keenan also competed in the 3-meter event, securing a 30th-place finish with a score of 237.80. In the 1-meter competition, both Keenan and Lehtonen represented FIU again; Keenan finished in 25th place with a score of 239.65 while Lehtonen took 31st place with a total of 226.25.
Looking ahead, FIU is preparing for the NCAA Championships scheduled from March 18 to March 21. Frida Stretre Løbersli will compete in the 100-breaststroke event, marking the fifteenth consecutive year that FIU sends a swimmer to this national championship.
The university acknowledged Baptist Health as its official sports medicine provider for athletics.
