The FIU diving team is preparing to compete at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships, which will take place from March 8 to March 10 in Athens, Georgia. The event is hosted by the University of Georgia at Gabrielsen Natatorium and serves as a qualifying meet for the 2026 NCAA Championships.

The women’s competition begins on Sunday, March 8, and continues through Tuesday, March 10. All events will be streamed live on ESPN+. Live results will also be available on DiveMeets.com.

Three FIU divers have qualified for this championship. Junior Kristina Keenan has earned spots in all three events: the 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform competitions. Senior Ruska Lehtonen will participate in the 1-meter and platform events. Freshman Adyson Downey has qualified for the platform competition.

There are a total of eleven NCAA Championship spots available in the 1-meter event, nine in the 3-meter event, and seven in the platform event. Divers who qualify in one event can also compete in any additional event if they finish within the top twelve at this zone meet.

The allocation of qualifying spots for each zone is based on how divers from that zone performed at last year’s NCAA Championships. Results from the 2025 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships determined how many qualification spots were given to Zone B for this season.
