Rep. Frederica Wilson, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 24th district since 2011, recently took to social media to address pressing issues affecting her constituents and the nation. Her recent tweets focused on the property insurance crisis and an ongoing advocacy campaign.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Wilson tweeted about the urgency of the property insurance crisis both in Florida and nationwide. She highlighted the importance of addressing this issue with hurricane season underway. To tackle this matter, she announced a policy briefing scheduled for the following day to discuss potential solutions. “The property insurance crisis in Florida and nationwide is real and urgent, especially with hurricane season now underway.”
Later that day, Wilson reiterated her concern over the property insurance crisis by emphasizing that it transcends party lines and affects people across Florida as well as other states. She extended an invitation to join her in discussing ways to address this challenge during her upcoming policy briefing. “Regardless of which party folks are from, everyone I talk to across Florida is concerned about the property insurance crisis.”
In another tweet posted on June 4, 2025, Wilson drew attention to a separate cause she supports: Wear Blue Wednesday. This initiative aims to raise awareness for bringing back hostages through collective action every Wednesday by wearing blue attire. “Every Wednesday is Wear Blue Wednesday because enough is enough.”
