Representative Frederica Wilson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Florida’s 24th district, has been active on social media discussing various topics. Her recent tweets reflect her ongoing commitment to social issues and public service.

On May 7, 2025, Wilson emphasized the importance of #WearBlueWednesday, a campaign aimed at raising awareness about hostages. She stated, “Every Wednesday is #WearBlueWednesday because enough is enough. It’s time we #BringBackTheHostages. #BringThemHomeNow”

The following day, May 8, 2025, she celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week by acknowledging the hard work of educators nationwide. In her tweet, she shared her personal connection to teaching: “Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! As a lifelong educator myself, I know how hard each and every teacher works every single day. Thank you to all our teachers across the nation!”

Later that same day, Wilson welcomed Pope Leo XIV with an expression of hope for his leadership within the Catholic Church. She tweeted: “Habemus Papam! I welcome Pope Leo XIV and pray for his success, wisdom, and righteousness as he takes on this sacred ministry to lead the Catholic Church and inspire millions around the world.”
