Frederica Wilson has represented Florida’s 24th District in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Kendrick Meek. Before joining Congress, she served in both the Florida Senate from 2002 to 2010 and the Florida House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002. Wilson was born in Miami in 1942 and currently resides in Miami Gardens. She graduated from Fisk University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
