U.S. Representative Frederica Wilson, who represents Florida’s 24th district in Congress, used her social media platform this week to highlight women leaders and youth events in Miami-Dade County.
On March 16, Wilson posted a tribute during Women’s History Month: “During Women’s History Month, we honor M. Frederica Wilson has represented Florida’s 24th District in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Kendrick Meek. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in both chambers of the Florida Legislature between 1998 and 2010. Born in Miami in 1942 and currently residing in Miami Gardens at age 80, Wilson graduated from Fisk University with a BA in 1963.
