Frederica Wilson has held her congressional seat since replacing Kendrick Meek in 2011 after serving previously in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature (FACT 1 & FACT 2). Born in Miami in 1942 and currently residing in Miami Gardens (FACT 3), Wilson is an alumna of Fisk University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963 (FACT 4).
