U.S. Representative Frederica Wilson, who serves Florida’s 24th district in Congress, recently highlighted community engagement and healthcare advocacy through a series of social media posts.
On July 30, 2025, Wilson shared her participation in a local fraternity event, stating, “Great hanging out all day with Sigma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at their annual picnic. Took a wonderful picture with the 5000 Role Models brothers. To those Role Models who left early, ‘Sorry!'”
Later that same day, she addressed the importance of federal health programs on her account: “For 60 years, Medicaid and Medicare have been vital lifelines for many. So remember: when you try to gut Medicaid and Obamacare as part of a ‘Big, Ugly Law,’ you can’t do it without affecting Medicare. We must fight to protect Medicare, Medicaid, and affordable Healthcare.”
On July 31, 2025, Wilson promoted an upcoming community initiative focused on education readiness: “Join the @5000RoleModels and @MDCPS Parent Academy for a back-to-school event! We’ll have everything from free school supplies to haircuts and free sports physicals. Don’t miss out on this event as we gear up for the school year. #WeAre5000 “
Frederica Wilson has represented Florida’s 24th district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2011 after succeeding Kendrick Meek.
