Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center remained under the ownership of Betty Stern Irrecovable Trust No 2 as of the first quarter of 2026, based on information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This Miami-Dade County facility has had this registered owner since Nov. 1, 2007.
The nursing facility operates on a for-profit basis.
During the reporting period, the center received an overall CMS five-star rating, which surpasses the Florida average of 3.3 stars among nursing homes. These ratings are based on key criteria, including health inspections, staffing, and the quality of care residents receive.
CMS data show the facility cared for an average of 111.5 residents daily during Q1 2026, with a total capacity of 120 beds. It is not hospital-affiliated at this time.
For the first quarter of 2026, Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center reported no fines or penalties.
The county contained 46 for-profit nursing homes at the time.
U.S. Census Bureau estimates show the country’s older adult population continues to climb as younger groups decline. Americans aged 65 or older grew by 13% from 2020 to 2024, while those under age 18 declined by 1.7%. The older U.S. population has expanded significantly over the past century — from 4.9 million in 1920 to over 61 million by 2024.
A study published in 2021 found that nearly half this group, around 28 million people, will likely need long-term services and support, with over a third projected to require care in a nursing home.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education group. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
