Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the City of Hialeah’s roadway revitalization project. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

The infrastructure project was made possible by $3 million in funding secured by Congressman Díaz-Balart. The investments aim to enhance safety and improve the quality of life for Hialeah residents. Upgrades include new curbs and gutters for stormwater mitigation, full roadway reconstruction, sidewalks, and energy-efficient LED street lighting.

Funding for this project came through the Consolidated Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2023, approved by Congress and signed by the President on December 29, 2022.

During the event, Congressman Díaz-Balart will also present a Congressional Resolution recognizing Hialeah’s 100th anniversary.

Attendees at the ceremony will include Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Vice Chair of the House Committee on Appropriations; Mayor Esteban Bovo of Hialeah; Rene Garcia, Commissioner of Miami-Dade County Commission District 13; and councilmembers from the City of Hialeah.

The ceremony will take place at the intersection of East 45th Street and 8th Lane in Hialeah.
