The Savannah State Tigers, featuring former Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School standout Joshua Krutchik, were defeated 7-5 by the Erskine Flying Fleet in an NCAA Division II baseball matchup held Tuesday, March 10, at 2 p.m.

The NCAA Division II contest was played at Tiger Field and marked the teams’ first meeting this season.

Krutchik pitched one inning, giving up one earned run and collecting one strikeout.

Savannah State will next play the Benedict Tigers at Tiger Field on Saturday, March 14, at 12 p.m.
