Mario Díaz-Balart, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, posted several statements on September 3, 2025, addressing leadership changes and national security concerns.

In his first post of the day, Díaz-Balart offered congratulations to a colleague from Florida: “Congratulations to our new vice chair and my fellow Floridian, @RepLaurelLee!” (September 3, 2025).

Later that morning, he commented on the Biden administration’s approach to foreign threats. In Spanish, he wrote: “La debilidad, la incapacidad y la complicidad frente a los enemigos de EE. UU. que actúan en contra de nuestra seguridad nacional bajo la administración Biden se han acabado.” (September 3, 2025).

That afternoon, Díaz-Balart expressed support for the President’s actions against narcoterrorist cartels while criticizing previous policy. He stated: “I agree with @POTUS and commend his decisive, firm leadership in countering narcoterrorist cartels. Our country is paying a big price for the Biden Administration’s incompetence.

Maduro’s narco-terrorist regime is an anti-American threat that endangers not only the security of” (September 3, 2025).

Díaz-Balart has served in Congress since 2003 after prior roles in both chambers of Florida’s legislature. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami at age 61, he holds a BA from the University of South Florida.
