Later that day, he addressed the issue of human trafficking involving Cuban medical professionals. At 20:13 UTC, Díaz-Balart wrote: “Shamefully, human trafficking continues in the world today, and so I commend POTUS and @secrubio for taking decisive action to end this scourge in Cuba by imposing visa restrictions on anyone who participates in the trafficking of Cuba’s medical professionals. These restrictions”.
He followed up with a similar message in Spanish at 20:13 UTC: “Vergonzosamente la trata de personas continúa en el mundo hoy en día, por lo que elogio al presidente Trump y al @secrubio por tomar medidas decisivas para poner fin a este flagelo en Cuba al imponer restricciones de visa a cualquiera que participe en en tráfico de profesionales”.
