Mario Díaz-Balart, a seasoned lawmaker serving Florida’s 26th District in the U.S. Congress since 2003, shared his insights and engagements via social media, touching upon significant policy measures and commemorative observances.

On April 23, 2025, Díaz-Balart expressed his views following a meeting with Americans for Prosperity and constituents in Naples. He discussed the necessity to extend President Trump’s “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” (TCJA), enacted in December 2017. Describing the legislation, Díaz-Balart remarked, “It was a pleasure to meet with Americans for Prosperity and constituents in Naples regarding the need to extend President Trump’s “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” (TCJA). This historic tax reform, passed in December 2017, sparked a period of strong and sustained economic growth and we.”

On the following day, April 24, 2025, Díaz-Balart commented on Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, highlighting the reverence for the victims and survivors of the Holocaust. He conveyed, “On Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the six million Jewish lives murdered during the Holocaust and pay tribute to those who survived unimaginable horrors. The alarming rise in antisemitism and vitriol against the Jewish people across the world–including here at.”

Later that same day, Díaz-Balart acknowledged leadership on national security issues. He articulated gratitude towards President Donald Trump, stating, “Thank you, President @realDonaldTrump, for prioritizing our national security and protecting our communities.”

Díaz-Balart has a long history in politics, having served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate before his tenure in Congress. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1961, he currently resides in Miami and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.
