Mario Díaz-Balart, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, published a series of statements on August 27, 2025, condemning the Venezuelan government led by Nicolás Maduro and addressing regional security concerns.

A third post from the same date contained only a link: https://t.co/e6Wj4BFMgr

Díaz-Balart has been active in U.S. politics for decades, having previously served in both chambers of the Florida legislature before his tenure in Congress began in 2003. He was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. Díaz-Balart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.

His recent statements reflect ongoing tensions between the United States and Venezuela over allegations of drug trafficking and concerns about authoritarian governance in Latin America.
