On January 22, 2026, Díaz-Balart wrote, “What a privilege to join my colleague, @RepMarkAlford, on his podcast to talk appropriations, national security, and my funding legislation approved last week that cuts spending by a whopping 16%. Grateful for his leadership and partnership in advancing America First foreign”. The post referenced his discussion with Representative Mark Alford regarding budget appropriations and newly approved legislation aimed at reducing government spending.
Later the same day, Díaz-Balart posted another update: “12 out of 12 appropriations bills done.
@HouseGOP and @HouseAppropsGOP are delivering on our promise to the American people—restoring regular order, cutting waste, supporting our troops, protecting the homeland, and strengthening national security.”. This statement emphasized the completion of all annual appropriations bills by House Republicans and their Appropriations Committee colleagues.
