Mario Díaz-Balart, a long-serving U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, recently shared a series of tweets covering various topics of public interest. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, Díaz-Balart has been an influential political figure since his tenure in the Florida House of Representatives from 1988 to 1992 and the Florida Senate from 1992 to 2000.

On May 7, 2025, Díaz-Balart urged his followers to “Prepare before hurricane season”. He advised building an emergency kit with essentials such as non-perishable food and water sufficient for seven days per family member, extra medication, and important personal documents.
