Mario Díaz-Balart, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress for Florida’s 26th District, shared a series of tweets highlighting significant political events and developments. Díaz-Balart, who has also served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, regularly shares his political insights and endorsements on social media.

On May 1, 2025, Díaz-Balart praised President Donald Trump for his selections for the “America First” team. In a tweet, he acknowledged the appointment of Michael Waltz as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, stating that Waltz “will bring much-needed strength and will be tough on America’s enemies.” The full post can be accessed here.

Later on the same day, Díaz-Balart expressed his support for a historic mineral agreement involving Ukraine. He tweeted his commendation for President Trump, noting that the agreement would “strengthen our strategic partnership with the people of Ukraine” by using the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation to facilitate investments in critical mineral supply. In another message posted on May 1, 2025, Díaz-Balart raised concerns about cases involving Cuban operatives in the United States. Mario Díaz-Balart, born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree. He has contributed decades of service to Florida and the nation through various legislative roles.
