Mario Díaz-Balart, a seasoned politician serving in the U.S. Congress for Florida’s 26th District since 2003, has been vocal about various geopolitical issues through his recent tweets. With a background in the Florida House of Representatives and Senate, Díaz-Balart brings extensive experience to his discussions on defense and international relations.

On June 12, 2025, Díaz-Balart emphasized the necessity for the United States to remain committed to tackling “the wide-ranging geopolitical challenges of our time.” He highlighted that “The FY26 Defense funding bill is a critical step toward fulfilling the commitment – modernizing and strengthening our military” here.

In a subsequent tweet on June 13, 2025, he expressed strong support for actions against perceived threats from Iran. He stated, “The Iranian scourge needs to be taken out. God speed to the brave IDF airmen doing the world a favor” here.

Later that day, Díaz-Balart reiterated his support for Israel, emphasizing America’s role in backing its ally. He tweeted, “Proud to see the United States standing with our ally Israel. America must continue to support Israel’s right to defend itself against its enemies–and ours” here.

Díaz-Balart was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. A graduate of the University of South Florida with a BA degree, he has dedicated much of his career to public service and foreign policy matters.
