Mario Díaz-Balart, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, recently shared several statements on social media reflecting his views and support for various causes. Having also served in the Florida House of Representatives and Senate, Díaz-Balart is known for his political engagement and dedication to public service.
On May 12, 2025, Díaz-Balart expressed his appreciation for law enforcement officers during National Police Week. He stated, “As a staunch supporter of our men and women in blue, I take great pride in celebrating #NationalPoliceWeek.” He acknowledged the sacrifices made by police officers who risk their lives daily to ensure community safety.
Later that day, he thanked former President Donald Trump for efforts to repatriate hostages. Díaz-Balart remarked, “Thank you, President @realDonaldTrump, for your unwavering commitment to bringing hostages home.” He anticipated the return of Israeli-American Edan to his family and condemned the cruelty faced by hostages.

Mario Díaz-Balart was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
