On May 12, 2025, Díaz-Balart expressed his appreciation for law enforcement officers during National Police Week. Mario Díaz-Balart was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
