On July 8, 2025, Díaz-Balart reported that six months into the 119th Congress, his district team had opened 547 cases and counting, answered over 4,400 phone inquiries, assisted 227 walk-ins, and responded to more than 1,700 messages. The following day, July 9, he announced the enactment of “The One Big Beautiful Bill,” which he described as “the most pro-family bill ever.” The legislation aims to provide historic tax relief to families by enhancing the Child Tax Credit, supporting paid leave and affordable childcare, raising the doubled standard deduction, and expanding school choice: “The One Big Beautiful Bill…”

Mario Díaz-Balart was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. Before serving in Congress since 2003, he held positions in both the Florida House of Representatives from 1988 to 1992 and the Florida Senate from 1992 to 2000. He holds a BA from the University of South Florida.
