I am grateful Chairman Ken Calvert included my bill language to ensure that U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) remains strategically located in Miami, Florida. SOUTHCOM serves as a bulwark against the trafficking of drugs, transnational”.

Mario Díaz-Balart has represented Florida’s 26th District in Congress since 2003 after serving in both chambers of the Florida legislature from 1988 to 2000. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, Díaz-Balart is an alumnus of the University of South Florida.
