Mario Díaz-Balart, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District and Chair of the National Security, the Border, and Foreign Operations (NSRP) Subcommittee, shared updates on his official X account regarding recent legislative developments and personal reflections.

Later that day, he wrote about his appreciation for Cuban coffee during the appropriations period. In his post from July 23, 2025 at 19:27 UTC, Díaz-Balart stated: “Cafe cubano Appropriations season https://t.co/EfOjSY3gUA”.

In a subsequent tweet on July 23, 2025 at 23:09 UTC, Díaz-Balart commented on the progress of an important funding bill in Congress. He wrote: “As Chair of the NSRP Subcommittee, I’m proud that the FY 2026 funding bill was approved.

Thank you to Chairman @TomColeOK04 and colleagues for advancing a bill that focuses on effective and accountable priorities that strengthen U.S. national security, all while delivering a”.

Díaz-Balart has served in Congress since 2003 after previous roles in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature. He was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. The congressman holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida.
