Mario Díaz-Balart, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, highlighted his legislative efforts and recent activities in a series of posts on social media.
On March 10, 2026, Díaz-Balart stated, “I’m proud to champion the hardworking families I’m privileged to represent in Florida’s 26th District. That’s why I voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts, legislation that helps Americans keep more of their hard-earned money. Today, I was joined by a constituent from Hialeah”.
The following day, he commented on national security policy under former President Donald Trump: “President @realDonaldTrump is consistent when it comes to protecting the American people and the national security interests of the United States. @politicofl” (March 11, 2026).
Later on March 11, Díaz-Balart shared details about a meeting with another member of Congress: “Great to welcome @RepLisaMcClain to Florida’s 26th District today at @SergiosCuban Restaurant. We’re meeting with working moms, small business owners, first responders, UBER and DoorDash drivers, and tax professionals in Doral to discuss how the Working Families Tax Cuts are”.
Díaz-Balart has served as a representative for Florida’s 26th District for over two decades and previously held positions in both chambers of the Florida legislature. He was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently resides in Miami. Díaz-Balart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.
