Mario Díaz-Balart, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, has recently used his social media platform to highlight developments affecting both domestic agriculture and international trade policy.
On July 15, Díaz-Balart encouraged followers to tune in to an event by posting: “Happening now! Be sure to tune https://t.co/FGWRk8QsBr” (posted July 15, 2025).
Later that day, he addressed agricultural trade issues, stating: “This is a MAJOR VICTORY for Florida tomato farmers and another clear example of President Trump delivering on his promise to put Americans first. For too long, Florida farmers have been harmed by unfair, one-sided foreign trade practices, which have flooded U.S. markets with https://t.co/4LiKsy1RaX” (posted July 15, 2025).
On July 16, Díaz-Balart commented on proposed legislation in Ireland regarding Israeli goods: “I am deeply concerned about the blatantly anti-Israel boycott legislation being pushed in Ireland. This is clearly based on unfounded claims. If passed, this law would not only harm the trade of Israeli goods, but also negatively impact the 1,000 U.S. companies operating in” (posted July 16, 2025).
Díaz-Balart’s remarks reflect ongoing debates over agricultural policy and international economic relations.
