Mario Díaz-Balart, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, posted a series of tweets on July 21, 2025, highlighting recent political developments and local initiatives.

In a tweet posted at 18:45 UTC, Díaz-Balart praised former President Donald Trump’s performance in office over the past six months. He wrote, “In just 6 months, @realDonaldTrump has delivered on key promises to Make America Great Again:

Secured the border
Ended high inflation
Unleashed American energy dominance
Passed historic tax relief
Restored peace through strength

Promises made, promises kept.”

Later that day at 18:51 UTC, Díaz-Balart followed up with another post focusing on border security. He stated, ” PROMISE KEPT: Under @realDonaldTrump, the number of illegal crossings at the southern border is at historic lows, and border wall construction has resumed.

Last month, the number of illegal border crossings was the LOWEST ever recorded.”

Shifting to local matters at 19:15 UTC, Díaz-Balart announced his intention to advocate for Miami Lakes in Congress. He tweeted, “Honored to soon speak on the House floor in support of establishing a unique ZIP code for the Town of Miami Lakes. Our community deserves recognition and efficient mail delivery services.

Díaz-Balart has represented Florida’s 26th District in Congress since 2003 and previously served in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.
