Díaz-Balart has served in Congress since 2003 after previously holding seats in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature from 1988 through 2000. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, he is an alumnus of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
