Mario Díaz-Balart, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, highlighted key provisions of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” and addressed U.S. policy toward Cuba in a series of posts on August 6 and 7, 2025.

Later that day, he reiterated these points in English and referenced feedback from a constituent: “The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers real wins for hardworking Americans, including:

In another post dated August 7, Díaz-Balart commented on U.S.-Cuba relations and his legislative efforts: “While the regime in Havana blames the embargo, secret records show the Cuban military is swimming in cash. My Appropriations bill makes sure not a dime from the U.S. taxpayer supports them and blocks aid to anyone bankrolling or doing business with the regime’s oppressive https://t.co/4p5zfzwqC6”.

Díaz-Balart has represented Florida’s 26th District since 2003 after serving terms in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, he holds a BA from the University of South Florida.
