Mario Díaz-Balart, a longstanding Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District, shared insights through tweets about both the infrastructure improvements in Florida and border security. Díaz-Balart, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2003, often discusses policies that impact his constituents and the broader American public.

On March 31, 2025, Díaz-Balart expressed optimism after meeting with FDOT Secretary Jared Perdue. He tweeted, “It was great to catch up with @FDOT_Secretary Jared Perdue and hear all about the revitalization underway at the Department of Transportation under POTUS and @SecDuffy’s leadership.” He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with the State of Florida to secure essential federal funding.

Later the same day, he criticized the Biden Administration’s efforts in border protection. Díaz-Balart tweeted, “This goes to show that the Biden Administration refused to use all tools available to protect our borders from ruthless narco-terrorist cartels.” He thanked Donald Trump and Sec. Scott Bessent for their efforts in holding these entities accountable.

On April 1, 2025, Díaz-Balart acknowledged the recent drop in illegal border crossings, calling it a significant achievement. He stated, “Illegal border crossings hit a new low in March.” He expressed gratitude toward President Biden for securing the borders and prioritizing American safety.
