Mario Díaz-Balart, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, announced his participation in two live media appearances on August 4, 2025, where he planned to discuss legislative efforts related to national security and State Department funding.

Díaz-Balart has an extensive political career. He has served continuously in Congress since 2003 and previously held positions in the Florida House of Representatives from 1988 to 1992 and the Florida Senate from 1992 to 2000. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, Díaz-Balart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.
