Mario Díaz-Balart, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, has been actively communicating with his audience through social media. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, Díaz-Balart also served in the Florida House of Representatives and Senate before his congressional tenure.

On May 22, 2025, Díaz-Balart announced via Twitter that he would be appearing live on “Presente con @oscarhaza” at 8 a.m. ET on WQBA1140 AM. He encouraged his followers not to miss this opportunity to tune in by stating “Estaré EN VIVO en ‘Presente con @oscarhaza’ hoy a las 8 a.m. ET por @WQBA1140 AM. ¡No se lo pierda!”.

Later that day, Díaz-Balart expressed his shock and condemnation regarding an incident involving antisemitism and terrorism. He tweeted about the tragic event outside the Capital Jewish Museum that resulted in the deaths of two Israeli Embassy staff members: Sarah Milgrim, an American citizen, and Yaron Lischinsky, an Israeli citizen. His tweet read: “I am horrified and outraged by the blatant act of antisemitism and terrorism that killed two Israeli Embassy staff members–Sarah Milgrim, an American, and Yaron Lischinsky, an Israeli citizen– outside the Capital Jewish Museum last night.”

Additionally, Díaz-Balart informed his followers about another live appearance scheduled for later that morning at 11:05 a.m. ET with Carines Moncada on America1260 AM. In his announcement tweet he stated: “A las 11:05 a.m. ET hoy estaré EN VIVO con @CarinesMoncada por @America1260.”

Díaz-Balart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.
