On March 9, Díaz-Balart posted: “Listening to President @realDonaldTrump speak at the 2026 House Republican Issues Conference in Doral, a proud part of Florida’s 26th Congressional District that I’m honored to represent.”
Later that day, he wrote: “Honored to kick off Day 1 of the 2026 House Republican Issues Conference in Doral!” (March 9).
On March 10, Díaz-Balart continued coverage of the event with another post: “Another busy day at the 2026 @HouseGOP Conference Issues in Doral. Díaz-Balart has been active in politics for several decades. He previously served in both chambers of Florida’s state legislature before joining Congress and is an alumnus of the University of South Florida. Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1961, he currently resides in Miami.
