Mario Díaz-Balart, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 26th District since 2003, shared several updates via social media on April 29, 2025. Díaz-Balart’s previous roles include serving in the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. He currently resides in Miami and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida.
In a tweet posted on April 29, 2025, Díaz-Balart reflected on his time with the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He expressed appreciation, stating, “It was great spending time with American patriot and our brilliant @FBIDirectorKash, who is defending the rule of law and protecting the American people.”
Later that day, Díaz-Balart commented on a significant local milestone. He noted, “My district team was honored to witness the historic swearing-in ceremony honoring Jacqueline Garcia-Roves, the first woman to serve as Mayor of the @cityofhialeah. Congratulations, Mayor Garcia-Roves!” He extended his well wishes to the new mayor and expressed eagerness for their future collaboration.
Subsequently, Díaz-Balart, who serves as the co-chair of the Congressional Latino-Jewish Caucus and the Interparliamentary Task Force to Combat Online Antisemitism, reiterated his support for the Jewish community.
