The Miami Dolphins announced on Mar. 16 that they have signed tight end Ben Sims.
The addition of Sims brings experience to the Dolphins’ roster as he has played in the National Football League for three seasons. His previous teams include Green Bay and Minnesota, where he appeared in a total of 45 games with eight starts.
Sims recorded 11 receptions for 93 yards and one touchdown during his time with Green Bay from 2023 to 2025 and Minnesota in 2025. He also participated in two postseason games with the Packers in 2023. Sims began his professional career as an undrafted college free agent with Minnesota in 2023.
Before joining the NFL, Sims played at Baylor University from 2018 to 2022. During his collegiate career, he appeared in 40 games with 30 starts, tallying 78 receptions for 785 yards and scoring twelve touchdowns over five seasons.
The signing adds depth to the Dolphins’ tight end position as they prepare for the upcoming season.
