The Miami Dolphins announced on March 11 that they have released linebacker Bradley Chubb with a post-June 1 designation.
Chubb’s release marks the end of his four-season tenure with the Dolphins, during which he played in 41 games and started in 40. The move is significant for both the team and Chubb, who has been a key player on defense since joining Miami.
During his time with the Dolphins from 2022 to 2025, Chubb recorded a total of 133 tackles, including 74 solo tackles, and achieved 22 sacks. He also contributed two passes defensed, nine forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. In recognition of his performance and leadership, Chubb was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2022. He also appeared in one postseason game for Miami.
Off the field, Chubb was recognized as the team’s Nat Moore Community Service Award winner in 2023. In addition to being voted a team captain in 2025, he was chosen as the club’s nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award that same year.
Chubb joined Miami after being acquired from Denver in a trade on November 1, 2022. Over his career with both Denver (2018-22) and Miami (2022-25), he played in a total of 90 games with 89 starts. He entered the National Football League as a first-round pick (fifth overall) by Denver in the 2018 NFL Draft following his college career at North Carolina State.
The decision to release Chubb signals potential changes ahead for both him and the Dolphins’ defensive lineup.
