The Miami Dolphins announced on Mar. 12 that they have signed cornerback Darrell Baker Jr.
The signing adds experience to the Dolphins’ defensive lineup as Baker Jr. brings several seasons of professional play to the team.
Baker Jr. has played in 51 career games, starting in 25 of them over four seasons with Indianapolis during 2022 and 2023, and Tennessee in 2024 and 2025. Over his career, he has recorded a total of 123 tackles, including 92 solo tackles, along with 19 passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
He began his National Football League career as an undrafted college free agent with Arizona in 2022. Before joining the NFL, Baker Jr. played at Georgia Southern from 2017 to 2021, where he appeared in 52 games with 26 starts. During his collegiate career, he made 110 tackles (79 solo), three interceptions, defended against 20 passes, and forced two fumbles while playing for the Eagles.
The addition of Baker Jr. is expected to strengthen the Dolphins’ secondary as preparations continue for the upcoming season.
