The Miami Dolphins announced on March 13 that they have signed cornerback Marco Wilson as an unrestricted free agent.
Wilson brings experience from five seasons in the National Football League, having played for Arizona, New England, and Cincinnati. Over his career, he has appeared in 64 games with 37 starts, recording 178 tackles (137 solo), three interceptions—including one returned for a touchdown—20 passes defensed, and three forced fumbles. He also started one postseason game with Arizona.
Wilson entered the league as a fourth-round pick (136th overall) by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2021 NFL Draft. Before his professional career, he played college football at Florida from 2017 to 2020. During his time with the Gators, he appeared in 36 games with 35 starts and totaled 103 tackles (68 solo), three interceptions, 20 passes defensed, and one fumble recovery.
A native of South Florida, Wilson attended American Heritage Schools in Fort Lauderdale before moving on to collegiate and professional football.
The addition of Wilson adds depth to the Dolphins’ secondary as they prepare for the upcoming season.
