The Miami Dolphins announced on Mar. 16 that they have signed wide receiver Jalen Tolbert as an unrestricted free agent.

Tolbert joins the Dolphins after four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, where he played in 55 games and started 30. During his time with Dallas from 2022 to 2025, Tolbert recorded 91 receptions for 1,093 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. He also contributed on special teams with five kickoff returns totaling 105 yards. In addition to his regular season appearances, Tolbert played in one postseason game for the Cowboys.

Tolbert entered the National Football League as a third-round pick, selected 88th overall by Dallas in the 2022 NFL Draft. Before his professional career, he played college football at South Alabama from 2017 to 2021. While there, he appeared in 47 games with 34 starts and amassed impressive statistics: 178 receptions for 3,140 yards and 22 touchdowns. His performance earned him recognition as the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 and two all-conference selections in both 2020 and 2021.

The signing adds depth to the Dolphins’ receiving corps ahead of the upcoming season.
