The Miami Dolphins announced on Mar. 13 that they have signed wide receiver Tutu Atwell as an unrestricted free agent.
Atwell brings five seasons of experience from the Los Angeles Rams, where he played in 64 games and started 27 times. During his time with the Rams from 2021 to 2025, he recorded 105 receptions for 1,535 yards and five touchdowns. He also contributed with 16 carries for 72 yards and one rushing touchdown. Atwell participated in four postseason games while with Los Angeles.
He entered the National Football League as a second-round pick, selected 57th overall by the Rams in the 2021 NFL Draft. Before his professional career, Atwell played college football at Louisville between 2018 and 2020. There, he appeared in 34 games with 19 starts, amassing 139 receptions for 2,303 yards and scoring a total of 21 touchdowns. In the 2019 season, he set a school record for single-season receiving yards with 1,275 and tied the record for most touchdowns in a season at Louisville with twelve.
Atwell is originally from South Florida and attended Miami Northwestern High School.
The addition of Atwell adds depth to the Dolphins’ receiving corps ahead of the upcoming season.
