The Miami Dolphins have announced changes to their roster, tendering exclusive rights free agent cornerback Ethan Bonner and releasing offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg due to a failed physical.
Ethan Bonner has played in 21 games over three seasons with the Dolphins, from 2023 to 2025. His career statistics include nine tackles, one interception, three passes defensed, and one fumble recovery. Bonner also appeared in a postseason game for Miami in 2023. He joined the team as an undrafted college free agent in 2023 after four years at Stanford University, where he played in 20 games with 15 starts and recorded 56 tackles, 12 passes defensed, and four tackles for loss.
Liam Eichenberg was selected by the Dolphins as the 42nd overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He has participated in 60 career games for Miami, making 52 starts across multiple positions on the offensive line. These included left tackle (14 starts), left guard (11), center (eight), right guard (17), and right tackle (two). Eichenberg also started at center during a postseason game with Miami in 2023. Before joining the NFL, he played at Notre Dame from 2017 to 2020, appearing in 43 games with 38 starts.
The decision to release Eichenberg follows his failed physical examination.
