Brownsville home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Brownsville rose by $14,000 while total sales increased by 31.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 67 homes sold, with a median sale price of $185,000 - a 8.2% increase over the $171,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 51 homes sold in Brownsville in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Brownsville for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,015, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
