Baseball Loses Doubleheader To End The Season

Barry's baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Monday afternoon at Sliwa Stadium.

Game 1

  • T1: Barry got a run in the first inning, as Kevin Noriega, who had singled, scored on a wild pitch. | Barry 1, ERAU 0
  • B1: Daniel Trillo doubled to lead off in the bottom of the inning and scored on a single by Josh Reynolds. | Barry 1, ERAU 1
  • B3: Timo Aracena was hit by pitch leading off the inning and scored on a single by Reynolds. | ERAU 2, Barry 1
  • T6: The Bucs put two on with two out and Brandon Sanchez doubled down the left field line to put Barry back on top | Barry 3, ERAU 2

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Trevor Baker (2-3) took the loss in game one for the Bucs. e allowed five runs on eight hits in 6.2 innings. He struck out five and did not walk a batter.
  • Casey Keller (4-4) got the win in relief for the Eagles. He scattered two hits and two walks in 1.2 scoreless innings.
  • In the nightcap, Chris Lopez (1-2) took the loss for Barry. He allowed three runs on three hits and a walk in one inning of work.
  • Sanchez led the Bucs at the plate, with thre hits and two RBI.
ON THE HORIZON:

Buccaneer baseball had finished the 2022 season.
