St. Thomas University Athletics Director, Bill Rychel, would like to announce the hiring of Andres Gomez as the new Women's Bowling Head Coach. Gomez will become the second coach in program history.
The Women's bowling program began in 2021 as they competed in five events. The season started off strong with a first-place finish at the Spring Hill College Fall Tournament.
"I am excited to build our Bowling program with Coach Gomez. As a professional bowler he will bring a unique experience to our women that will make their collegiate career special," stated Rychel. "I cannot wait to see his development of our athletes and the way he will grow our roster."

"South Florida is a great destination, and bowling is big down here. I am sure I will be able to recruit great student-athletes and build a strong team to make St. Thomas proud for many years," added Gomez.
Gomez has also a decorated career as a professional and an international bowler.
