Cornelius and Khanyereri Lead Bobcats Tied for Fourth at the Invite at Innisbrook

The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Golf team played great golf and finished tied for fourth out of 12 teams. Beating four ranked NAIA teams at the Invite at Innisbrook will put the Bobcats in a great position. Because of the threat of the hurricane and weather, the event was shortened to 36 holes.

Day One

 

Bobcats finished in a great position after the first and only day due to the weather led by none other than Serah Khanyereri. Khanyereri finished in 2nd place overall in the event with two great rounds. In round one she shot a 72 and in round two shot a 71 for a total of 143. Not far behind is Samantha Cornelius who tied for 6 shooting a 74 and a 73 for a total of 147. Chabely Arias came in 32ndand shot an 80 and a 75. Rounding out the Bobcats is Heidi Demel (T 46th, 84, 76) and Allison Strong (63rd, 82, 91). As a team the Bobcats had 107 pars, and 11 birdies. STU averaged 3.36 on par 3's, 4.33 on par 4's, and 5.50 on par 5's.
