HONORING ROSE CECCHI

______

HON. FREDERICA S. WILSON

of florida

in the house of representatives

Tuesday, October 25, 2022

Ms. WILSON of Florida. Madam Speaker, I rise to honor the service of Rose Cecchi, my intern who has completed her spring 2022 semester serving the people of Florida's 24th Congressional District. Rose has proven to be adaptable, quick witted, and dedicated.

Rose Cecchi is a rising senior at The Madeira School. She will attend college next year with the intention to study environmental science. During her time in this office, she spoke to constituents on a daily basis, corresponded with all democratic congressional offices, and attended briefings on various subjects. She has displayed a great work ethic and professionalism.

The daughter of Antonio Cecchi and Bobbi Jo Cecchi, Rose is from McLean, Virginia. She is the head of her school's Astronomy Club and will continue to lead it in her senior year. In her time as the head of the Astronomy Club, she organized events to stargaze and learn about astronomy. She also completed an internship at Garfield Elementary School. In this internship, she was a teacher's aide for a third-grade class.

Upon transitioning from her internship, Rose will complete a hiking trip in Alaska to learn about nature restoration. She hopes to use the knowledge she gains on her trip when studying environmental science in college.

On behalf of Florida's 24th Congressional District, I ask my colleagues to join me in honoring Rose Cecchi for her present and future accomplishments.
