The Barry Buccaneers, who are heading into the third round of the NCAA Tournament, placed six members on the re-vamped 2022 Academic All-District V team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. The district teams, which recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
Barry placed keepers Nils Buecheler and Jean Claude Consol, midfielders Yamil Gauna and Daniel Schaal and defenders Jean Ghafourian and Andreas Volk on the District V team, which covers Gulf South Conference and Sunshine State Conference.
