The Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources will host a Mobility Fee Study workshop on Monday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and seeks input to help Miami-Dade County update its roadway impact fees structure.
Much has changed since 1988, when the County’s current roadway impact fee was adopted. The goal of the Mobility Fee Study is to create a new multimodal transportation impact fee that aligns with current conditions and County plans and policies.
The workshop will be the third and final and will cover the following:
- An overview of the Mobility Fee Study
- Compare the current roadway impact fee to the proposed Mobility Fee
- Review the current context zones and the proposed context zones for fee collection
- Review the current benefit districts and proposed benefit districts
- Review the proposed Mobility Fee in different context zones for different land uses
The public’s participation and feedback will help create a robust Mobility Fee structure to plan and implement a seamless multi-modal infrastructure for Miami Dade County.
