Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) students, who are interested in applying for a Magnet program for the 2023-2024 school year, have a week left to sign up before the January 15 deadline.

Students in all grade levels can enjoy more than 370 Magnet programs and specialized courses with unique thematic strands of study that focus on their interests, talents, and abilities. Among the distinctive offerings are programs such as STArts – Science Technology and the Arts Exploration and Innovation – Space and Oceanic Exploration, Cybersecurity, Investing (using Bloomberg stock exchange terminals), Artificial Intelligence through Robotics, and Gaming Design.

Students MUST apply by January 15, 2023, at www.miamimagnets.org. Each student can apply to up to five schools. Students will be selected for each program through a random selection process, and notification letters will be sent out around March 15, 2023. Parents/Guardians must declare their program acceptance by the specified deadline date.

Magnet programs foster diverse and equitable learning environments, incorporating innovative curricula and research-based teaching methods. Year after year, M-DCPS boasts more National Magnet Merit Awards from Magnet Schools of America than any other school district. Students should take advantage of the opportunity to attend one of M-DCPS’ renowned, innovative, and progressive Magnet programs by applying today.
