The Sun Conference released the 2023 Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning. St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Tennis team was selected to finish fourth in one of the top tier conferences in the nation for tennis.

2022 was a record year for the Bobcats making it to the national tournament for the first time in 20 seasons. After a slow start, St. Thomas caught fire and the raters noticed boosting the Bobcats into the top-20 in the final poll to help get them an at-large berth. St. Thomas finished third in a conference that had six of the seven teams ranked in the top-25, two in the top-10.

Head Coach Matt Roche heads into his third season at the helm and has done a tremendous job so far in rebuilding the program. St. Thomas finished the year ranked 15th after an upset victory over Indiana Tech in the opening round of the national tournament.

The 2023, slate is set to be a tough one with over 11-ranked opponent matchups. The season begins with their first official match on February 1 against Palm Beach Atlantic a home with first serve at 2 p.m.
