Women more prevalent than men in Miami-Dade County in 2021

Of the 2,690,113 people living in Miami-Dade County, Florida in 2021, 51.1% (1,374,001) were women and 48.9% (1,316,112) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by North Miami-Dade News.

Data showed the average age for women in Miami-Dade County in 2021 was 42 years, higher than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, despite women being more prevalent in Miami-Dade County during 2021, men aged 18 and over outnumbered women in the same age group by 661. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 182,938 men and 252,247 women.
